About the Writing Club

The writing club was created (or more precisely reborn) in June 2010 and has known immediate success. Its main activity consists in writing short stories/poems every 2 months on a given theme. The theme is suggested by the authors, so please feel free to submit a theme.

As of today, there are 65 club members (including readers, former colleagues, spouses and friends). So if you feel like awakening the author within, please join the fun.

You don’t have to be a writer to join the club. Anyone can join. There are two types of members : authors (who write in the language of their choice) and readers (who only read). So if you wish to receive the short stories just for the fun of reading them, you may do so.

There are no admission fees (it’s free) and the activity is open office-wide on all sites. No previous experience is required, everyone can submit a short story.

Previous short stories / poems have been regrouped in acrobat reader documents and can be sent to your mailbox on request. These include:

The Forest (June 2010), At the Restaurant (September 2010),  The Festival (November 2010), The First Snowflake (February 2011), The Ceiling (April 2011), The Bucket List (June 2011), The Gems (August 2011), Some Like it Hot (October 2011), The Aquarium (January 2012), A Tropical Island (March 2012), The Ritual (May 2012).

- Upcoming event : The Ghost Town (deadline Monday 23rd July 2012)

I have written a novel called ‘Benauwd’, which I am promoting right now. I would like to have your opinion as well, and in case you like it, give you the opportunity to buy stock and become shareholders. Please visit: http://www.tenpages.com/manuscript/benauwd
    for the details.

If you would like any more info, call 070-3402581, or write to: soppenberg@epo.org
